Cowell′s comments make girl get cosmetic surgery

A desperate X Factor contestant was so damaged by Simon Cowell’s feedback at an audition that she had plastic surgery.
Katrina Lee first auditioned for the reality TV blockbuster five years ago but was told by loud mouth Cowell that “he wished he could put her voice in somebody else’s body”.
These comments nearly tipped the 23-year-old “over the edge” so she reconstructed her identity by transforming her face with laser surgery, getting her teeth fixed with cosmetic dentistry, dying her hair electric red and employing a personal trainer to help her lose two stone.
But who says money can’t buy you happiness. Katrina triumphed at this year’s Glasgow auditions, getting through to boot camp after singing Sinead O’Connor’s Nothing Compares 2 U.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the Belfast shop worker said: “I had to go back and re-write history.
“I came face-to-face with Simon Cowell and told him that his comments had nearly wrecked my life.
“He told me, ‘That’s not a nice thing that I said.’
“He seemed really shocked about how his comments had affected me.”
After her first audition – aged just 18, Katrina had a tough time as she developed shingles and an eating disorder.
She was required to repeat years of school and her shattered confidence meant that she only got her first boyfriend at the age of 21
Katrina said: “Even though it was Simon who knocked me down, he’s also the one who brought me back up again by telling me I was a good-looking girl when I returned this year.
“He took all my insecurity away.”
