Cottingham Dentists Make A Difference In Morocco
A dentist and practice manager from Cottingham, East Yorkshire, recently returned from Morocco, where they helped hundreds of people.
Dentist Chris Branfield and practice manager Gillian Fisher, from Castle Park Dental in Cottingham, visited Morocco to provide basic dental care and educate children about oral hygiene.
The duo spent a week in North Africa, treating children and helping them to learn about the importance of oral hygiene. During the week, the pair saw almost 200 children and Mr Branfield extracted more than a hundred teeth, as well as performing routine check-ups and fillings.
The team also spent time teaching children how to brush their teeth and talked to them about eating healthily and flossing.
Mr Branfield said that it had been a busy week but the experience was unforgettable and very emotional. The pair thanked everyone at the practice for their support and donations.
