Young women are asking for cosmetic dental treatments as Christmas gifts, it has been claimed.

The London Paper reports that festive enhancements are becoming more common among young females.

Abby Beck, a 24-year-old fashion executive, told the newspaper that after too many late nights and a lack of proper dental care, her teeth are damaged.

"I come in and crash out without brushing them and the next day I feel like I’ve eaten a kitten," she said, adding that she also drinks "copious amounts" of tea and coffee.

A £350 whitening treatment is just what she wants this festive season, she claimed.

Kaja Lukafzewicz has been treated to a full makeover by her boyfriend for Christmas, including a skin peel, dermal fillers and teeth whitening.

According to a study published in the Dental Clinics of North America journal, although the curve, shape and size of teeth are also important, colour is the most important aspect of a flawless smile.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18395340-ADNFCR
