Colosseum Dental has snapped up a vacant retail unit in Yeovil. The chain is now planning to relocate its existing High Street practice to a new site on Princes Street.

The premises, which were previously occupied by Prezzo Italian restaurant, have been empty since the eatery closed nearly two years ago. Planning permission for a change of use application was granted in June 2019, and the Yeovil team is preparing to start life in its new home on the 17th February.

CEO of Colosseum Dental in the UK, Philip Buergin, described the relocation as a “significant long-term investment in Yeovil that will enable the very best in patient care with an outstanding environment, together with full disabled access.” Mr Buergin added that he was confident that existing and new patients would be happy with the new site, which will provide more space and a stylish, modern interior.

The new practice will boast five surgery rooms that will be equipped with state of the art technology.

Colosseum Dental is one of the largest dental providers in the South West with clinics scattered across Dorset and Somerset.

By opening a new practice, the dental team is hoping to make dental care more accessible for the residents of Yeovil, as well as encouraging more people to visit Princes Street. The surgery is opening in a building that has been empty for almost two years, and this can only be positive news for surrounding businesses.
