Chocolate Toothpaste For Those With A Sweet Tooth And £60 To Spend On Toothpaste

Sample News Big

Theodent has launched a new luxury oral hygiene product in the form of fluoride-free chocolate flavoured toothpaste. Chocolate flavoured toothpaste may sound like a genius idea, but with a hefty price tag of £60 per tube, is it really all its cracked up to be?

The product makers, Theodent, claim to have “harnessed the power of the cocoa bean” to produce toothpaste, which not only cleans the teeth safely, but also tastes like a pudding. The toothpaste is fluoride-free and contains a patented ingredient known as Rennou in addition to calcium, phosphate and theobromine.

The product is available to buy at high-end supermarket chain, Whole Foods, and direct from Theodent online.

Theodent also claims that the toothpaste helps to build up the enamel, as well as removing plaque, but the price tag does seem to be a little baffling. The standard tube is available for £6, but the Theodent 300, which contains higher quantities of Rennou, is being marketed at $99.99.

In contrast to the luxury packaging and matching price tag, Crest has launched a much more accessible and purse-friendly product. At just £3, the Mint Chocolate Trek toothpaste is designed for the adventurous user and those with a sweet tooth. The product is part of a new line, known as Crest Be, which was launched in response to feedback from customers, who suggested that standard flavours were boring.

In addition the Mint Chocolate Trek, consumers can also buy Vanilla Mint Spark and Lime Spearmint Zest.
