Chippenham Dentist Receives Outstanding Reports

Sample News Big

A private dental surgery in Chippenham was recently given an excellent report from the regulator of health and social care in England.

The Old College Dental Surgery, located on New Road, was very pleased with their results given the fact that they were only given one day’s notice for the intended visit.

Inspectors noted that the practice met each of the government standards which included maintaining friendly rapport with the patients and high levels of cleanliness and sterilisation methods.

After speaking to several patients the inspectors of the Care Quality Commission noted several positive comments. One particular patient stated that they had extreme dental phobia before they came to Old College Dental Surgery. They then stated that the practice is fantastic and the friendly dentist helped to manage their fear.

Other positive comments were made about Dr Paul Copson, the lead dentist at the practice. Patients declared that he thoroughly explained treatments to them and took great care when performing the work. Dr Copson stated that he is extremely proud and happy about the comments.

The CQG complimented the practice on its ways of minimising infection and regular audits carried out on dental equipment, with the most recent taking place in February.

What’s more, the staff attend regular training events and appraisals were consistently carried out. Out of the 2,300 patients who attend the practice, not one has made a single complaint.

The practice is currently welcoming new patients, including children.
