A dental practice in Middlewich, Cheshire, has been given the green light to create a new treatment room.

An application to convert an upstairs bedroom into an additional treatment room at Woodlands Dental has been approved by Cheshire East Council. The proposal was given the go-ahead based on the condition that only a single extra room would be added.

The report from planning officers at Cheshire East Council said that Highways officials had been consulted about the potential impact of creating an extra treatment room, and officers had come to the conclusion that the majority of extra patients would travel by foot. The statement added that the site is “sustainably located” and maintained that the net impact of the changes would be “minimal.”

The extra room will enable the practice to accept more patients.
