Car Crashes into Melbourne Dental Surgery

A car has crashed into a dental surgery in Melbourne leaving a woman with possible spinal injuries. A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed that the woman, who was in the office at the time of the incident, is in a stable condition in hospital.

The crash occurred at 12.50pm on the 11th November in Winyard Drive, Mooroolbark. Eye witnesses said that the car ploughed through the windows of the dental clinic. The car was driven by an elderly woman who escaped unscathed.

Paul Bentley, spokesman for Ambulance Victoria, said that the woman injured at the office had been treated by ambulance officers and would be taken to hospital for further treatment. There is a possibility that she may have suffered spinal injuries, but she is in a stable condition.

Witnesses called into local radio station 3AW and confirmed that they had seen a car crashing through the windows and coming to an abrupt halt inside the building on Winyard Drive.

Fire crews and police officers are also on the scene and further details about the incident will be released in due course.
