A new survey has revealed that Canadians are not taking good care of their teeth and gums.

It also found the most Canadians did think oral health was important but that many of them failed to act on this opinion.

The survey discovered that 62% of Canadians said that maintaining a healthy was important but it also found that just 4% followed the ideal oral health regime of brushing then flossing then rinsing with mouthwash.

According to the survey, people said they were not even brushing twice a day because 24% were too tired, while 16% said that they lacked time and 4% claimed that they didn’t know how to use a toothbrush.

It was discovered that 31% of interviewees said that they couldn’t be bothered to floss and 25% claimed that they don’t have time.

The study also exposed that many people weren’t going for regular checkups because they cost too much.
