Caithness Orthodontic Patients Welcome the Arrival of New Orthodontist

Orthodontic patients in Caithness finally have something to smile about, after a new orthodontist joined the Dunbar Dental Clinic in Thurso. The arrival of Dr Nasiopoulos will mean that local patients no longer have to travel more than 100 miles to see an orthodontist.

Dr Nasiopoulos, who is originally from Greece, will join the practice team in May. The clinic currently has 45 patients waiting for orthodontic treatment and the new addition to the team will make a massive difference to waiting times for treatment.

Stephanie Chadwick, from Dunbar Dental Clinic, said that the addition of Dr Nasiopoulos will have an extremely positive impact on patient care in the local area. Local people will be able to access the treatment they need in Thurso, rather than having to travel to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. At present, patients who need treatment face a 100-mile trip, which involves parents and partners taking time off work and children having to miss out on valuable classroom time. There is also a cost involved with travelling, and if you have to drive children every 4-6 weeks, this can soon add up.

The clinic will also be working alongside Lochshell Dental Clinic in Wick to handle referrals from the east of the county.
