Two dentists from Bury are keeping everything crossed after they were nominated for a prestigious dental award.

Daniel Cheung, from Bury Dental Care, and Adam Nulty, of Ramsbottom Dental Surgery, have been nominated for the Best Young Dentist award at the 2013 Dentistry Awards.

The awards recognise clinical excellence and professionalism in the UK and just to be nominated is a huge honour.

The award winners are chosen by an esteemed panel and the winners will be announced at a lavish ceremony in Leicester on December 6th.

Mr Nulty, 30, studied at Leeds University and has been running Ramsbottom Dental Surgery for more than four years; his father is a dentist and runs Tollington Dental Surgery. He said that he hopes that the award nomination will encourage anxious patients to visit the practice and said that all his hard work will be worthwhile if just one nervous patient is able to conquer their fears and attend the practice on a regular basis.

Mr Cheung graduated from Liverpool University and commutes from Liverpool to Bury on a daily basis. The 35 year old described the nomination as “huge” and added that everyone is looking forward to the awards ceremony.
