Bupa Launches New Health Insurance Policy For Students

One of the UK’s largest health insurance providers, Bupa, has launched a new health policy aimed at students.

Bupa’s Student Health Express policy starts from just £9 per month and covers the cost of health assessment, physiotherapy, dental care, optician’s appointments and prescription costs.

Policy holders also have access to 24 hour GP care via a helpline and telephone counselling and welfare support; holders will also be entitled to a discount of the cost of Bupa healthcare insurance.

Tony Wood, sales and marketing director for Bupa, said that the new student health policy is designed to give students and their parent’s peace of mind when they go away to university. Many parents worry that their child will experience health and welfare issues while at university, especially when they first leave home and this policy helps to put their minds at ease. The policy also encourages students to get the care they need without worrying about the cost, which is a major factor for students across the UK.
