Bupa Dental Care completes the acquisition of Fulham’s Metamorphosis Orthodontics
Bupa Dental Care has successfully completed the acquisition of Fulham-based private orthodontic clinic, Metamorphosis Orthodontics.
The deal, which was overseen by Christie & Co, will further boost Bupa’s presence in the UK and underline its status as one of the country’s prime dental providers. Bupa has expanded its network across the UK in recent years, and there are plans to support continued growth in the years to come.
Metamorphosis Orthodontics was established by leading orthodontist, Dr Neil Counihan, in 2008. Originally based in Harley Street, the practice relocated to its current location on the New King’s Road in Fulham in 2015. Since its inception, the clinic has won numerous awards, including Best Children’s Care at the Oral B Awards and Best Dental Team at the Private Dentistry Awards in 2017.
Dr Counihan has recently decided to pursue additional interests within the field of dentistry, and said that he was thrilled to be handing over the “reins of Metamorphosis to a global dental provider.” Dr Counihan has recently completed a Master’s degree in stem cell therapy, and is hoping to devote more time to this up and coming area of interest.
General manager of Bupa, Gabriela Pueyo, said that Neil and his team have established a practice with an outstanding reputation, and added that Bupa is looking forward to building on previous successes and ensuring that patients continue to receive first-class standards of orthodontic care.
