Dentists and nurses from the Dental Health Spa have joined forces with inter-dental brushing experts, TePe, to run a brushing booth at Brighton Food Festival, which runs until the 1st June.

The booth will be staffed by representatives from the Dental Health Spa, Brighton, and the British Dental Health Foundation and the team will be offering tips about diet and nutrition, oral hygiene and eating habits to help people achieve better standards of oral health and learn about the best ways to prevent decay and gum disease. The team will also be handing out leaflets and using disclosing tablets to flag up plaque build-up in the mouth.

Everybody who visits the brushing booth, which will be open until Saturday 30th April, will be given a goodie bag. The team will also be raising money for Mouth Cancer Awareness.

Head of clinical education at TePe, Elaine Tilling, said that the festival presents an amazing opportunity to talk to a large number of people about oral health awareness and educate them about maintaining good oral health, the impact of diet on oral health and the importance of good oral hygiene.
