Members of staff at Town Hall Dental Practice in Brighouse are all smiles after celebrating the practice’s first anniversary.

The practice, which opened in its historic town hall location last year, has expanded its treatment list and attracted thousands of patients and the dental team celebrated the landmark occasion with a large cake.

Dr Imran Rangzeb and his team have allowed the practice to grow and blossom without interfering with the structure or history of the building and patients have given very positive feedback about their experiences at the surgery.

Rachel Dilley, the practice manager, said that the practice has been more successful than anybody imagined when they first opened the doors to the public and added that the future looks very bright for the surgery. She said that it was essential to maintain the character of the building, while also providing patients with a comfortable and functional space.

To mark the changes throughout history, Chris Helme has produced a timeline charting the journey of the town hall, which will be available to the public; the practice is also inviting local schoolchildren to come down and have a look at the display.

The town hall was put up for auction after the local council decided that it was no longer required; it sold for £136,000 in February 2010.

The Town Hall Dental team is also celebrating being named winner of the 2013 What Clinic Customer Service Awards.
