The team from a Bridlington dental practice raised hundreds of pounds for charity over the festive period after taking part in a series of fundraising activities.

Dentists, nurses and reception staff from VI Dental Centre took part in a series of challenges and events in the run-up to Christmas, including a cycle ride, a raffle and a fancy dress party, to raise money for a cancer charity.

The team raised a total of £440 for Children with Cancer, which supports and cares for children who are affected by cancer and their families.

Receptionist, Charlotte Hyde, said that the team was thrilled with the total and thanked everyone for their support and generous donations. It was freezing cold when the group was cycling on the streets, but people were beeping their horns and cheering the team on and that spurred them on to complete the challenge.

Charlotte was joined in the fundraising drive by colleagues, Emma Pollard, Lesley Smith, Christine Bowtell, Paula Tobin and Kate Locker.
