Brave Dental Worker Fights Off Intruder

A brave dental worker fought off an intruder who tried to gain entry into a practice in Haverhill, Cambridgeshire.

Police are appealing for any information about the incident which occurred at the practice in Wratting Road at around 5.40pm on Tuesday 26th February. The dental worker had been putting the bins out when she heard someone approaching from the car park located behind the surgery.

On hearing the intruder the woman went back inside the practice, but the man followed her and tried to force his way into the surgery. The woman bravely held her ground and stopped the man from breaking through the door, eventually managing to shut and lock the door. She suffered minor cuts to her head.

Police are now asking for anyone who has any information to come forward. The intruder is described as a white male and was wearing a hooded top.
