Brampton Dental Hygienist To offer Free Cleaning
A dental hygienist from Brampton, Ontario, is helping to spread smiles after she announced a free dental day, which will take place next month.
Isabela da Silva, owner of Healthy Smile Dental Hygiene, will be providing free cleaning treatments on February 8th as part of Gift from the Heart, a programme, which supports people who struggle to afford dental treatment across Canada.
On the day, treatments will be available from 8am until 5pm and anyone who is interested is advised to call ahead to make an appointment; all appointments must be booked in advance and most have already been filled, with a waiting list in place.
Gift from the Heart is supported by dental hygienists all over Canada and involves them giving up their time and income for the day to help those in need. Isabela da Silva said that it was a very worthy cause to support, especially as the response the clinic has received has been overwhelming; representatives from the practice contacted local churches and organisations to advise them about the upcoming dental event and have since been swamped by requests.
Patients who attend the clinic will also be given advice and information about oral hygiene.
