A dental team from Boston is preparing to take on a series of challenges to raise money for charity.

Two years ago the team completed a 33 mile walk for charity and now members of the team are gearing up to take on individual challenges to support Parkinson’s UK. Between them the team will be cycling, running, walking and climbing to raise money for the cause, with the first event scheduled to take place in April.

Dentist Gill Greig is taking part in the London Marathon on April 21st and she is also running in the Edinburgh Marathon. In May, dental hygienist Sally Pedley will begin the three peaks challenge and dentist Kenny Doig will cycle as part of team to complete a 600 kilometre route from St David’s Bay to Lowestoft.

In June, dental nurses, Tracey Edwards, Karen Woods, Sam Wright, Nicola Priestley and Lola Adams will be joined by office manager Sarah Noe to walk the Seabank Marathon.

According to the team at the Private Dental Centre on Rosebery Avenue training for the events is going well and everyone is doing their bit to raise as much money as possible. The team decided to support Parkinson’s UK this year because two members of staff have relatives affected by the disease.

Anyone who is interested in sponsoring the team is encouraged to contact the practice for details or visit their Just Giving webpage.
