A dentist from Bideford has completed an Iron Man challenge to raise money for charity.

Nick Percival, from Tower House Dental Practice in Bideford, completed the notoriously gruelling challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The triathlon included a two mile swim off the coast of Eastbourne, a 112 kilometre mountain bike ride in the South Downs and a cross country run, covering a range of terrains from Winchester to Salisbury.

Around 120 people applied to take part in the Iron man triathlon, but Nick was one of just 40 people to make it to the finish line.

Nick’s challenge was supported by colleagues and patients at Tower House Dental Practice and he thanked everyone for their support and motivation, as well as their generous donations.
