Best smile Oscar goes to…

It should have been dazzling smiles all round at this year’s Oscars awards ceremony, but one Hollywood dentist claimed there was still room for improvement with some celebrities teeth.

Dr Michael Kosdon, who claims to be dentist to the stars, has said he watched the event with a critical eye on actors and actresses smiles.

He explained: "The difference between bright, white camera-ready smiles and simply adequate smiles are really easy to notice during red carpet interviews."

Dr Kosdon awarded his own outstanding smile Oscars to the cast and crew of Juno, including actresses Ellen Page and Jennifer Garner and director Jason Reitman.

However, he criticised the smiles of actors Tom Wilkinson and Tommy Lee Jones, explaining: "They are both extraordinary actors but during news interviews, their mouths disappear."

Other Oscar-winning smiles were listed as those of Marion Cotillard, who won Best actress, Amy Adams, Anne Hathaway, Hilary Swank and Katherine Heigl.

As for whitening, Cameron Diaz, James McAvoy, Cate Blanchett and Laura Linney, would all benefit from a little bleaching treatment, according to Dr Kosdon.

Hollywood dentist Dr Kevin Sands told the Daily Mail that he performed hundreds of one-hour whitening treatments prior to the awards ceremony.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18483229-ADNFCR
