A Baltimore dentist has been charged with enticement of sexual activity with a minor, as well as the distribution of oxycodone.

Vaqar Ahmad Choudry was indicted and detained on Thursday at a federal hearing at a court in Baltimore. The indictment covered Choudry’s aim to find a young girl for sex and the pain medication he offered a confidential source in payment for the arrangement.

Choudry found himself arrested on the 12th of September after arriving at Hagerstown Motel where he thought he was going to meet the young girl. However, the arrangement had been a fiction, with the forty two year old dentist set up.

Further unprofessional conduct carried out by dentists was also uncovered recently, with a case in Tulsa revealing a local dentist’s use of dirty, infected implements and needles. Dr W Scott Harrington was found to have used a specific set of tools when he knew he was treating patients with infectious disease, such as hepatitis C. The equipment included used needles and rusted dental implements. After an investigation into the dentist was carried out it was found that 89 patients from the practice had hepatitis C. Another 4 people were found to be suffering with HIV, with one of the victims raising the alarm after they contracted the disease without any risk factors available in their day to day life which would have accounted for their contraction of the condition.

Choudry was, thankfully, found out before he could go through with his plan, but the victims of Harrington may find some difficulty dealing with his damaging actions.
