Aspen Dental pays out after consumer complaints

Sample News Big

Aspen Dental has paid out $175,000 after consumers complained about the company providing deceptive information about offers, free consultations, discount treatments, interest free payment plans and free dental examinations.

Aspen Dental reached a settlement with Pennsylvania after more than 50 complaints were received in the state; Aspen Dental has 32 dental offices in Pennsylvania.

Attorney General Tom Corbett said that patients had chosen to go to Aspen Dental as they offered low price solutions and promised good offers and discounts on dental treatment. Corbett said that consumers had been mislead and were faced with confusing, highly restrictive limitations.

As a result of the trial, Aspen Dental will pay $125,000 to customers who have valid claims; the company will also be required to offer all clients with copies of their treatment plans and a breakdown of the costs. The company must also be much more transparent in advertisements in the future.  The company will also pay $50,039 dollars to the Attorney General; the money will be used to cover costs and facilitate consumer protection in the future.

My son and I were also ripped off and didn’t know anything about this lawsuit! How do we get a piece of the rock???
We were sooooo ripped off by them. I threatened to get an attorney and they backed off by ripping us off even more. My son ended up paying $4,000. for extractions and dentures that didn’t fit properly. I have since learned of people who had extractions and perfect dentures for $1,000. It sickens me to see the greed in this world today!
