£2million Dental Centre in Aberdeenshire now Underway

Sample News Big

Many breathed a sigh of relief when plans for a dental centre were announced in the area of Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

Currently, citizens in and around the surrounding areas found themselves having to travel at least 40 miles into the city of Aberdeen to receive dental treatments.

The lack of dental practices in the north-eastern corner of Scotland meant that much of the population residing in the area were failing to receive treatments. Plans were announced over 4 years ago in order to address the lack of dental care within the area. However, a deficiency in funds meant that the construction of the centre had been postponed until now.

NHS Grampian has stated that the new complex is designed to treat around 5,000 new patients within the area. Plans are underway for the £2million to finally be developed and used by the people of Fraserburgh, also known as “The Broch” amongst locals.

The opening of this new centre will cut travel costs and wasted time travelling to Aberdeen for dental treatments, for thousands in the area.
