    Hi

A dentist would be the best person to advise you on how effective teeth whitening would be for you and assess if your teeth are indeed suitable for whitening. Amalgam fillings and the grey discolouration they produce will not be improved by the whitening, however. Whitening only works on enamel and any fillings do not whiten.

    Hope this helps.

You are, but IMO all whitening should only be undertaken after a clean bill of dental health after a visit to a dentist.

Amalgam fillings are not a contra indication to whitening, but if you
plan to replace them it is probably best done after whitening so that a
good colour match can be achieved as the tooth coloured filling will not
whiten when you do the whitening

The abrasion/ erosion on the front teeth may mean that these teeth are
more sensitive during the whitening process but it does not mean this
cannot be done. If the teeth are too sensitive they may need to have a
filling placed to cover the exposed dentine but these fillings again
will not whiten and so it is better if these are done after the
whitening only so that they are only done once .

You should also discuss with your dentist the cause of the anterior
tooth surface loss so that further problems can be prevented
