There are a number of options available. It is important to know why the recession occured and to make sure that it is stable as you would not want the treatment to relapse.
Quite often this type of treatment needs to be undertaken by a gum specialist.
I hope this helps

receding gums
Can you tell me what options are available please? I do not smoke or drink, but two of my upper teeth have receding gums and sometimes they itch, but do not bleed. I use an electric toothbrush, but it is not harsh.
I was on a lot of pain medication last year for my back, co codamol, epidural and morphine.
The receding gums has been there for many years. I am concerned that they will become worse. Do you carry out this treatment yourself and what are the costs involved?

Violet, it very much depends on what has caused the recession as to whether it will progress. I do not offer this service as I feel to get a good result it should be done by a gum specialist. I'm unable to give you an indication of price as it depends on the treatment required.
I would suggest a conversation with your dentist who should be able to refer you on
I hope this helpswww.migrainecare.co.uk

Hi
Could you recommend a practice or surgeon? I am in NG22 0NP area.
Although Nottinghamshire, Doncaster and Lincoln are closer cities to me.
I am not happy with the NHS dentist I have been using, (I still pay) he does not fill me with confidence, as he makes too many mistakes.
I have private medical insurance, although it does not cover a great deal for dental work, so I will have to fund that myself.

I will check out your website.
Do you charge for the initial consultation or do you prefer not to discuss here?
Do you also offer regular dentistry?

Violet, I am more than happy to discuss my consult fees with you but I would prefer for you to contact my office. The reason being we would like to keep the forum to guide clients into safe and quality based clinical procedures rather than self marketing.
I hope you can appreciate this.
I do offer comprehensive general dentistry alsowww.migrainecare.co.uk
