Worried, in a way
Hey.
I'm worried about certain things about my teeth and i really need some help and guidance.
My teeth arent all that bad, apart from 2/3 - I do not have any top Canines (Both are growing towards my front teeth at an angle) so i currently have 2 gaps. With dents my self confidence quite a lot. The other tooth is currently rotated, which is on my right side at the top inbetween where my canine should be and my front tooth.
I have visited my dentist about this and was referred to the Orthodontist at my local Hospital wher ei had x-rays and was told that my lower jaw is actually slightly back, He also said that i would need an operation to remove those 2 canines, though when i asked could anything else be done he replied "no, as im too old and it would take about 3 years" - I'm 21 and i really wouldnt mind braces.
I'm not waiting for a letter for the operation to happen.
Though im sitting here not feeling happy about having 2 gaps, I'm a student so i dont earn too much money to afford Implants with the price they are at the moment.
Many thanks,
Luke

I would recommend that you ask the consultant again. Failing this, you can always seek a second opinion from a specialist orthodontist

Some specialists offer NHS services, however my advice would always be to be seen privately

I'm now* waiting for a letter for my operation.
Corrected, just noticed i made a mistake and it made me seen like an ass, My apologies :P
And thank you
Though the orthodontist wont see me unless i get another referral, is it worth mentioning my concerns to my dentist and see if he can talk to the orthodontist?
