Conversation Between Dr Pav Khaira and Bradley

  1. Hi Dr Pav Khaira
  2. NHS crowns will fit and function adequately. However there can be a difference in quality. The NHS restricts fees for crowns. I can however assure you that NHS crowns should be adequate. They do not however have the facility to create highly aesthetic crowns at the front of the mouth, this is a difficult procedure to undertake and it is often possible to see NHS crowns (even many private crowns) at the front. I have seen many NHS crowns at the front which are "adequate" in cosmetics

The quality assurance from the NHS means that there is a minimum standard, and you would not be able to demand a private level crown on the NHS. Do also be aware that there are different levels of private crowns.

    I hope this helps
