Inman nearly complete, but now teeth different sizes!
I'm nearly complete with my inman after 9 weeks, however now where my tooth crossed over the other one, there was more wear, and my front two teeth are different lengths and shapes.
I almost wish I hadn't bothered with the inman as now it looks worse!
I really don't want composite bonding, and the whole reason I had the inman was to avoid veneers.
Is it possible to shape the longer tooth so it matches the shorter one by filing it down?

hello
At your consultation you should be warned that this can happen.
When your teeth are crooked they wear at differential rates.
On the positive side, if you had not straightened your teeth, the crookidness and wear would have got worse.
composite bonding can be done with no tooth preparation.
It is possible to contour the other tooth, but it depends what this will do to the way your bite functions as your teeth slide off.
Kind Regards

Hi Dr Tif,
And thanks for your reply!
At my first consultation I did mention my concern as it was obvious the teeth were different shapes, but the dentist assured me that the difference would be very minor.
I have an overbite which is fairly substantial, so I'm guessing if I have the contouring my bite won't be affected. Fingers crossed my dentist will do it!
