Default Is the lisp permanent with Inman Aligner ??

I am going to have the Inman Aligner, and my dentist said that I may get a slight lisp at the start of treatment but then I will be able to speak normal after a few weeks.

Has any one experienced a permanent lisp or does it go away once you get used to the aligners??

A lisp is perfectly normal and it does not always go during treatment. It does for most people however around 20% of people have a lisp throughout treatment

    I hope this helps

The lisp will only be present during the time you have the Inman and
your speech should improve after the first few weeks. There may be some
speech disturbance during the time you have the Inman aligner. You will
not have speech issues after the treatment has finished

    Unhappy Lisp

Hi Alie - I see you have had your Aligner for about a month now - I have had mine 2 days! Honest reply please - did your speech improve at all over the month? I am dreading going back to work as no one will be able to understand me. Its sooooo embarassing even going to the supermarket. Its making me stay in the house more than I normally would. Love to hear your advice please.
