First day of the inman aligner...
hello all,
I am due for an appointment in a few weeks where i will be fitted with the aligner. I am very excited as i have wanted my teeth straightened for as long as i can remember!
My apointmnet is at mid day and i was wondering whether i should take the rest of the day off work? I would really appreciate if you could share your experiences about your first day.
Many thanks,

You can expect an adaptation period with the Inman aligner when you
should expect some speech disturbance and possibly some increased
salivation. This should resolve over the first few weeks but is likely
to take longer than a day. The aligner will feel tight but not unduly
painful so I am not sure that taking the rest of the day off is
required. I would also suggest you ask your treating dentist for his
thoughts on this question.
