    Default Fixed Appliance Questions...

I'm looking at getting my teeth fixed with traditional braces. A few questions I hope someone can answer. I'm 24...

My top arc needs (IMO) slight work while my bottom teeth need alot. If I got braces fitted on both at the same time will they remove the top ones when they are sorted or will they be kept on until the bottom teeth are sorted too?

Looking at the picture below, can anyone give me a estimation of how long they will be kept on for?

Which braces do the work quickest?

    Thanks ta...

The best advice I can give is for you to speak to your treating dentist. Each dentist will work slightly differently. I personally have no problems in removing the brackets once and arch is finished, other dentists remove the brackets all at once.

With Six Month Smiles, I'd (very roughly) guess a 9 month treatment time. We could only really say with more accuracy after a full consultation

    I hope this helps

    Thanks.

So Six Month Smiles is the quickest treatment with braces. There doesn't appear to be anywhere In Scotland that carries out the treatment. Down south then.

    Will it be hideously expensive?

This sounds amazing, just watched your video there...

Actually I might book a consultaion with you.

Costs of course are related to complexity of treatment. Your dentist would be able to give you an accurate costing after a consultation

There doesn't seem to be any dentist In Scotland who does this treatment.

    Are you aware of any?

For reference there is now a dentist in Glasgow who does 6 month smiles. Looking forward to going through.

    Thanks again.
