bad dentures
I went to a dental school but saw a faculty member to get advice. When I had insurance, I chose a dentist who was ill equipped and made dentures, but couldn't handle my particular situation. I have hardly any bone on my bottom gums, the bottom dentures never fit. Today I was told, that I need new dentures made and if another doctor said I had enough bone, he would put two implants in and hook the bottom dentures on them. This would cost approximately $5700.00. My dental insurance expired 10 years after I retired, so this would be out of pocket. Do you think it is worth me doing this at the age of 71?

If it improves the quality of your life and the implant - retained dentures can help you eat better and give you confidence. It would be money well spent at any age.
