    Default Mini implant

    Hi
I have the same concern - but my dentist has suggested I have a mini implant in place of a small missing molar. It might mean I could have everything done (with a temporary crown) in one session - but is this something that's still experimental and could go badly wrong?

I can totally understand your concerns. My advice would be that for very select cases this is feasible. However, loading an implant immediately can potentially cause problems. It is for this exact reason that the case has to be selected carefully. Implants placed and restored under numerous visits have excellent long term success rates. If you are concerned you should speak to your dentist

    Hope this helps
