    Default Graft, Implant crown questions

Hi its my first post here and I hope to learn a lot about the process of getting an implant.
I have had upper right and left front teeth extracted 2 weeks ago, because the roots were infected and the bone above them is insufficient without extensive graft. My gums are otherwise healthy, and I have good general health. I have a 2 root canal crowns in upper and lower incisors.
My dentist has referred me to an implant specialist who uses astra tech. He has quoted two implants £2350 and two crowns £2350.
He wont handle the graft so would refer me to a maxillofacial surgeon, expected fee £4000 at BMI fees.
No CT scan (although perhaps this would be part of the BMI fee) and no warranty.
Is there an alternative to bone graft in hospital?
What questions should I ask the specialist about the crowns?
How long to wait for healing of my gums? The procedure stated would be about 2-3 months after extraction.

    Hi Patricia,

I'm sorry to hear you have lost your front teeth. The prices quoted for the implants and crowns are about right. My fee is £2500 for a single implant + crown in the front of the mouth. With regards to the bone graft, where are they going to get the bone from, am I right in assuming that its a hip graft?

ITs a bit hard to talk about alternatives without seeing how much bone you really need, if the defect is really that big then there is little choice. A picture would really be useful.
