Default 6 month smile brace with bone recession from extraction

Hi there, i just joined here because i need some advice on my dental situation, any help and advice is very much appreciated.
I am in the process of looking for a dentist to fit a 6 month smile brace but i also have a gap in my lower jaw where a molar tooth was extracted several years ago and the bone there has receded considerably.
I need an implant inserted there, am i right in getting the teeth straightened first as one dentist advised me?, so the extra space can be made use of if need be, it sounds like good advice but will i have to wait until the brace is out until i look to getting the implant done as this will mean at least another 6 months of my bone there getting ever weaker while the teeth are straightened.

    Hi John,

Simple answer, braces first and implants last. 6 months wont make much difference to the implant.

    Best of Luck
