    Default Pain in gum area

I had a tooth pulled approx 10 years ago and the gum area is causing me pain. I have been to the dentist, had an Xray, 2 small white areas showed up, the pain today is bearable, but the area is now swollen. Could it be possible that some of the remaining tooth was left in and is now beginning to grow back??? Thanking you in advance for your reply if you are able to help.

    Dear Robyn,
Its difficult to say without seeing you and the radiograph.

Teeth unfortunately, do not grow back, what did your dentist say when you went back?
