Default 4.5mm wide implant suitable for a molar?

    Hi.

Is an Astra Tech 4.5mm ST (tapered) implant a suitable choice to replace a molar tooth or should a wider implant be used?

My concern would be fracture or would this be very unlikely?

    Thanks.

yes but IMO a wider implant if possible would be better

This should be suitable to support a molar tooth but does depend on the
amount and position of your other teeth. Fracture is very unlikely
