Bridge on existing rear molars
I recently went to Hungary for dental work I needed crowns on rear lower and upper molars and when the work was done they advised that the crowns were joined together even though there was no missing teeth. The reason given was added stability. Has anyone heard of this before? Is it a valid treatment?

This type of treatment was taught about 50 years ago in the UK. It is generally avoided due to the fact that if you get decay under one of your crowns, it becomes much more difficult to deal with
