Question Advice on Treatment and Choosing a Dentist (South West)

    Hi there,

I’m in my early twenties and have a 4-5mm gap between my two front upper teeth and some small ones on my lower teeth, which I want to close.

From reading other threads I would prefer to go with invisalign. But for cases like mine, is there much difference between invisalign and clearstep?

Also in my area (SW, Plymouth) there is only a small choice of dentists for both treatments, and none of them have a rating (e.g. silver, platinum etc). How important is this rating? Is there any other way to determine their experience? Or could anyone recommend a dentist in my area for either treatment?

Any other advice or experience would be much appreciated.

    Many Thanks

    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Your dentist will be able to tell you what is appropriate. Depending on what the cause of the problem is neither Invisalign or Clearstep may be appropriate, however its not possible to say without a full consultation

    I hope this helps

    Hi

both Invisalign and Clearstep treatments involve the use of clear aligners.

Clearstep has recently introduced a new removable brace, called CODA, that can help reduce treatment time and therefore reduce the number of clear aligners needed.

They are both really good forms of treatment and it depends on what works best in the hands of the dentist. Some dentists prefer Invisalign over Clearstep and vice versa.

    Best of Luck
