Default How on earth do they do that?

How on earth are veneers made/used to create two teeth (lateral incisors and canine) from one (canine, in more of a lateral position as congenitally missing lateral, but still space between canine/fake lateral and front teeth as well as canine/fake lateral and premolar). It looks good and it's clever, but I just don't get how it's done. What happens to the existing canine? Do the veneers look like they are separate, but in reality you wouldn't be able to floss between them? Have seen this case on both a UK and US website, and inquiring minds want to know! It's definitely not listed as a bridge.
