Sonum qualified from Kings College London in 2013. Since qualification, she has worked as a senior house officer for multiple years in various hospitals doing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this period, she was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Gaining invaluable insight into surgery and management of complex cases in hospital, she then went on to work in general practice. She thoroughly enjoys learning and has undertaken postgraduate qualifications and exams throughout her years since qualifying.

She embarked on a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Dental Care, as well as the Postgraduate Studies at the University of Bristol. Her passion for Periodontology has led her to embark upon formal training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute to become a Specialist Periodontist. She believes in treating all patients in a calm, polite and respectful manner.

Aside from Periodontology, she has a keen interest in facial aesthetics. She has undergone advanced training from the London School of Facial Aesthetics in the use of Botulinum Toxin for anti-aging treatment, anti-wrinkle treatment and excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, European Federation of Periodontology and British Society of Periodontology.
