Would You Recommend Using Tooth Gap Bands For Any Of Your Patients? I Need To Fix The Gap In My Smile.

Q.
Hello Dr Hughes. Would you recommend any of your patients to use: Teeth Gap Bands? For closing a gap in the front of someone’s teeth. I seen this website online, and it mentioned a less expensive way to close your gap and I was wondering if you think it would be safe to use.  I’ve read some reviews on their website and I want to try it because I will not be able to afford braces because my insurance doesn’t cover it. I would say my gap is about 2 inches wide and I want to get it closed. Thank you for your time.
A.
Hello and thank you for contacting me. You would need to be assessed for suitability first by a cosmetic dentist or orthodontist and they are not effective for every dental situation. 2 inches wide sounds incorrect, it could not possible be that wide so best you have the problem professionally assessed first before you continue. This will then give you a starting point. You can begin to save up for any potential treatment at this point. If you would like more information on orthodontics you can find this through this website. I hope this helps. Regards, Mark.
