Would you recommend a metal plate for longer term use?
Q.
I have been advised by my dentist that I need to have 3 teeth extracted because of root problems. It may be that a 4th tooth could also be extracted. I already have ab acrylic plate for 1 tooth which needs daily fixing. I am told that I can have a metal based plate or stick to acrylic plate. I understand the metal plate is stronger but more difficult to add teeth and hence the rationale for taking out the extra tooth. Is the metal plate more likely to stay in place. I understand there is a significant price difference. What would you recommend

A.
The metal plate would ideally be placed once the gums have healed and no other teeth are likely to require removal. This plate should fit more precisely in the long term
