Why is it recommended to wait 3-4 months after an extraction to have a bridge fitted?

Q.
Hello – why is it recommended to wait 3-6 months after extraction for a bridge to be fitted? Also what are the consequences of waiting say just 2 months?
A.
During the healing progress after an extraction your gums starts to shrink, If you have your bridge fitted to soon the gum will continue to shrink leaving a gap under your bridge. You can have porcelin added to the bridge but it is more expense for you.
