When i touch around the teeth it hurts alot do you think it show that it is no healthy tooth

Q. 3 months ago I went to my dentist with a painfull tooth. He filled the tooth and as soon as I came home terrible pain started. I stayed 2 weeks with the painkillers help and I went again to my dentist. He changed the filling and I was OK for 2 weeks and my pain started again. This time he said I am grinding my teeth and he couldn’t do anything for me. My question is when I touch around this tooth it hurts alot. Do you think it shows that it is not a healthy tooth and should be removed thank you

A. Certainly removal is an option for a very painful tooth. You might also consider root canal treatment to take away the discomfort. Either way you should really get it sorted out as toothache is a very unpleasant thing to put up with
