What suitable treatments are available to correct front teeth that have short roots and a large bite gap?

Q.
Hello,
I am 20 years old and my two front teeth have short roots and have a large bite gap. Is there a way I can get braces or surgery to get them fixed?
A.
Dear Enquirer,
In theory there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to have braces fitted to correct even the most crooked/spaced/uneven teeth with bite issues associated. However you will need to book an appointment with a dentist or an orthodontist who will thoroughly assess you for a treatment plan that suits you.
