What Orthodontic Procedures Would Work for an Inward Growing Tooth?

Q.
Hello. I have a retainer to straighten a crooked tooth, but now it has lost its strength and the tooth has gone back to being crooked. The tooth was crooked because it grew behind a milk tooth. This milk tooth had failed to come out and the permanent tooth had no space but to grow behind it. The milk tooth was eventually removed but the permanent tooth replacing it had already grown inward. I want it to be straightened again. The retainer was placed in 2002. Which orthodontic procedures do you recommend? Thank you.
A.
Hi, thank you for getting in touch. There could be many options for you, it is impossible to know exactly what might suit your case without an examination so I’d advise going for an opinion from an experienced and reputable orthodontist in your area. Kind regards, Mark.
