What is the best treatment available for centre line correction?

Q.
My top teeth are not centred so I have my right front in the centre of my smile. I am not a candidate for braces as the problem is too severe. Please could you tell me the best (considering cost) correction method. I am considering veneers and understand they will shave a lot of my teeth away. Would this be a problem?
If I go ahead with this procedures, is it something I could do in stages? This would break the cost down. I could have my teeth whitened to the same shade of the veneers so the alterations are not overly obvious?
I clearly need lots of guidance. I have seen a few dentist and have been quoted £12,000 as a basic cost. This is not an option for me. I really need help.
A.
The maximum amount of centre line correction achievable by placing veneers is usually about 2-3mm only. Most often an orthodontic correction followed by veneers can achieve more. Costs for this type of treatment are high as they are very demanding and complex aesthetic changes. My advice if you need more guidance is to go and see a highly experienced cosmetic dentistry team where you can see a specialist orthodontist (for fixed braces) and the cosmetic dentist in the same practice so they can advise you on what’s really achievable and the costs and consequences thereof. There may be some other options to consider so the experience of the dentist you go to is crucial. If you are in London then my practice can offer you this level of service.

Kind regards
