What Can I Do to Stop My Dental Pain?

Hi. I have being in agony over the past few days. I have taken ibuprofen but nothing is taking the pain away. I’m not sleeping at all because I’m in constant pain. I find that drinking very cold water helps for like 10 seconds. I went to the dentist today and had x-rays, it showed decay close in a nerve under my filling, so she took off the filling and put on a sort of dressing. However I am still in agony, what can I do?

Hi, thanks for your question. It sounds like you need that nerve removed and a root canal treatment performed as soon as possible. Go to an endodontist ideally. Best wishes, Mark.
